Cyprus is a large island and the walks and car tours in this guide radiate from three main bases: Pafos (Paphos), Lemesos (Limassol) and Larnaka (Larnaca). We show trekking routes of varying difficulty, all of which are mapped in detail.

Many of the hikes are circular, and we feature both the Akamas Peninsula and the Troodos Mountains.

When to go: The best months for walking in Cyprus are March to June and September to November.
